When I look in the mirror sometimes I feel beautiful and sometimes I really hate myself.  Why do I use the world as a barometer?  Can’t I just be me…..  I guess I’m just like everyone else.  And that, honestly, is comforting to me.

If you’ve never been to The House on the Rock, well all I can say is that it is a perfect analogy for life.  At first it is fascinating, then it gets redundant, then you just want to be free, then you really freak out and wonder if you are always going to go in circles and experience the same things over and over.  Then after completely losing it you resign yourself to the experience and come to some sort of acceptance.

This is my daughter in the women’s bathroom…only an hour into the five hour excursion. 

You know what has to be done.

Why don’t you do it?

The affirmation of one’s own life- the acceptance of one’s destiny as it manifests itself in each moment- is the supreme act of faith.

It’s incredibly fucking easy.
